I am a tutor who lives in Wethersfield, Connecticut, and I am a graduate of the University of Vermont. I have a bachelor's in French and Literature, and I minored in German Studies and Political Science.When I was a senior in high school, I spent my first semester staying with a host family in Clermont-Ferrand, France. During my college years, I studied at La Sorbonne. As a result, I'm highly skilled in the French and German languages and cultures.After I obtained my college degree, I lived in Germany for a year while working as an English TA for secondary school students. Though I taught in English for most of my tutoring career, I have experience teaching in German and French as well.I believe that everyone learns in different ways. I know I do, since I obtain knowledge by experiencing. Therefore, when I instruct my students, I introduce cultural and anecdotal connections to their lessons.When I need a break from tutoring, I travel to New York and visit museums. (My favorite ones include The Brooklyn Museum, The Whitney Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art.) Also, I snap pictures, swim, read, and go the concerts in Central Park.
